Terms and Conditions – Win a trip to Chicago

Promoter’s Details:  

Hawksmoor is a trading name of Underdog Restaurants Ltd (the “Promoter”). Registered in England and Wales No: 05786163. Reg. Office: Jack Place, Unit B, 6 Corbet Place, London, E1 6NN, United Kingdom. 

Eligibility:  

The competition is open to Hawksmoor email subscribers who are residents of either; the United Kingdom or Ireland; and are aged 18+. Employees, their close relatives and associates of the Promoter are not eligible to participate in the draw. Entries received between 00:00 GMT on 27/06/2024 to 11:59 GMT on 31/07/2024 will be eligible for the prize draw.  

How to Enter:  

New email subscribers must complete the newsletter sign-up form in its entirety, and existing subscribers must simply click the secret link in the email. The secret link to the existing subscriber’s entry form was shared via email on 27/06/2024. Incomplete submissions of the sign up form will not be considered. By entering the competition, you affirm your eligibility and willingness to accept any prizes awarded to you. Only one entry per person is allowed. 

Prizes:  

The selected winner from the United Kingdom or Ireland will be rewarded with: 

• Round-trip international airfare for 2 to Chicago  
• Three-night hotel accommodation in Chicago*  
• Dinner for 2 at Hawksmoor Chicago, with a maximum value of $600 (gratuity not included)  

The total prize value is $5,500, including dinner. 

The Prize is subject to availability and blackout dates. A maximum of two guests are permitted. Winners are responsible for arranging their travel to and from the departure airport. Any additional costs incurred, including transportation to and from the departure airport, travel insurance, meals (other than specified), and personal expenses, are the winner’s and their companion’s sole responsibility. The exact date and time of travel, including hotels and flights, will be finalised once the winner has been selected at the discretion of the Promoter. A full itinerary will be shared with the prize winner by the Promoter ahead of travelling. All passengers must have a valid passport to travel and must meet all relevant visa and/or other entry requirements, including any medical/health screening requirements or similar. Any costs incurred in addition to the prize elements listed above shall be incurred at the Recipients’ and/or their guests’ expense. Cannot be applied during November & December. Winners must book their trip within 12 months of being notified of their win. Failure to book within this timeframe may result in the forfeiture of the Prize. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative prizes. 

In the event the winner or travelling companions are unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other prize will be provided. The winner and travelling companions must be travelling together in both directions. The winner and travelling companions must abide by and are subject to the airline’s published conditions of carriage. The winner must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs. The winner will not be entitled to any compensation and will have no claim against the organisers if the holiday or any other event forming part of the prize is delayed, postponed, rescheduled or cancelled.   

*Standard room, the Promoter will not pay for any other “Extra” items: e.g. breakfast, room- service, pets, early check-in, late check-out, and Wi-Fi. 

Winners Selection 

The winners will be chosen randomly on 05/08/2024. The entrants will be sorted into the relevant countries for the prize draws using the ‘Nearest City’ data field submitted at sign-up. Where this data field is not provided by the participant, the Promoter will sort the entrants using the sign-up source. Email subscribers can update their ‘Nearest City’ anytime using the preference centre, which you can access using the link at the bottom of Hawksmoor’s marketing emails.  

Notification:  

The winners will be notified via the email address provided on 05/08/2024. The Promoter will attempt to contact the winners twice via email. Failure to respond to the email within 14 days of the second attempt will result in forfeiture of the prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to select a new winner.  

General:  

The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and the Promoter reserves the right to exclude entrants from any breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered in to. 

Your personal information provided during entry will be used by the Promoter for competition administration and other specified purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy. 

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 
 

The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
